About Singapore International Original Comics Competition
Competition Objectives:
- Promote Original Comics Creations
- Provide a platform for young creators to express their creative potential
- Encourage communication and sharing between comic creators on an international level

Welcome to the 2nd edition of SGIOCC – a celebration of original comic creations and illustrations! SGIOCC is part of SGOCF‘s event line-up!

Competition Details
Competition Categories:
- Junior Category (5 – 7 years old)- Hand-drawn Illustration
- Children Category (8 –12 years old) –Hand-drawn Illustration
- Youth Category (13 –19 years old) –Hand-drawn/Digital Illustration
Competition Theme:
Legends & Fairytales
Participation Fees:
- Local Participant: SGD20 per submission
- Overseas Participant: SGD10 per submission (*postage fees to be borne by participant)
Submission Details and Requirements

Submission Guidelines:
Submission period: 1st April 2020 – 30th July 2020
- Artwork size: A3 size (42X29.7cm)
- Artwork can be of the following:
- Illustration
- A one-page comic (not exceeding 8 panels)
- For hand-drawn illustrations done in traditional medium, you are required to submit your ORIGINAL artwork.
- For digital illustrations, you are required to submit your PRINTED artwork.
Competition Rules and Regulations:
- Each participant can submit more than ONE artwork.
- Participants are to ensure that they are the original creators of their artworks.
- To ensure fairness and transparency, participants are to refrain from disclosing any details of their submissions on all social media platforms before the announcement of competition results.
- All artworks MUST NOT contain unlicensed/non-original/offensive content or nudity.
- Any artwork which infringes upon another person’s intellectual property rights will be disqualified. It is your responsibility to check this in advance.
- The organizer reserves the rights for all artworks to be used for publicity and promotional purposes.
- The organizer reserves the rights to disqualify any participant who flouts the competition rules.
- The organizer reserves all rights and discretion to the final competition results.
- All winners will be notified via email by the organizer.
