Wee Tian Beng is the first Singapore comic artist to break into the International Comics Market.

Recently, Tian Beng’s comics had been translated into 11 different languages: Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English, French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese and Indonesian.

To date, he has created more than 200 volumes of comic works. He is also the only local comic artist whose sales have reached over millions of sales.

This is a commercial miracle in Singapore Comics Industry. In the 1990s, he was invited by 2 Hong Kong publishers to create the comic series for 2 famous novels “ The Adventures of Wisely ” by Mr. Ni Kuang and “ Return Of The Condor Heroes ” by Mr. Louis Cha.

In 1997, Tian Beng received the Asian Manga Prestigious Award at the International Comic Artists Conference held in Seoul, South Korea.

In 1999, he started his major comic series “ The Celestial Zone ” ( total of 5 series, 170 volumes) The Celestial Zone has become the longest and best selling comic series in Singapore.

In 2015, he organised the one month long event “Singapore Original Comics Festival” to promote the original comic culture.

In 2016, he received an Award of Creative Excellence ~ Outstanding Contribution to the Singapore Comic Industry from ACAS.

In 2017, Tian Beng was invited to the International Comic Artists Conference (ICC) as the representative of Singapore.

In 2018, he started his latest comic: NEO ERA – The Adventure of TCZ Ai”

In 2019, he organised the “Singapore International Original Comics Competition” to encourage the younger generation to value the original culture and to be creative.

Currently Tian Beng is the Managing Director of TCZ Studio Pte Ltd, president of Singapore Comics Society and the representative of Singapore for the International Comic Artists Conference.

Roy Chan, aged 58, as an ardent enthusiast, started his career in comics together with two buddies in 1984.

Apart from contributing comics serials to the LIFE TV and Mingguan Tunas magazines, also has three solo productions to his credit. Roy left the comics scene to delve into industrial journalism, took up the post of a managing editor for a bilingual tyre magazine as well as test-driving newly launched cars in 1992.

Three years later, Roy joined a team of 9 in public-listing exercise for an engineering corporation. The exercise successfully made the company’s IPO to the KLSE second board in 1997, with a market capitalization of RM600m.

After the IPO stint, Roy left the corporate scene and went back to freelancing his initial dreams -comics and illustrations. He received a commendable contribution award from the Malaysian Mandarin Comics Society in its third awards ceremony. Roy went on to lead the comics society as the 4th President for MMCS in 2015. In 2015, he assisted the Penang Youth Development Corporation in drafting a proposal to set up a comics museum in Penang.

The establishment process took over two years of work, and Asia Comic Cultural Museum launched its grand opening in May 2016. Roy was also appointed a liaison consultant in Malaysia for the Taiwan Creative Expo 2018 and 2019, essentially bridging the cultural exchanges of intellectual expertise between both countries.

子茹毕业于淡马锡理工学院，多媒体设计系。她过后在南洋艺术学院继续升学，修读媒体设计硕士课程。

身为一名酷爱蛋糕与甜食的设计师，子茹受导师 ー 郑文心女士(城市速写人创办人兼淡马锡理工讲师)的影响，所以很喜欢与学生交流，以增广见闻，开拓创意视野。

曾在成立机构(淡马锡理工学院，MyRepublic)就职的子茹，如今正在经营自己的首饰设计工作室。她细致精巧，巧夺天工的手作首饰，在创立的十年间，深受粉丝们的喜爱。

子茹现在也就任为新加坡漫画协会通讯经理。

家杰毕业于南洋理工学院，数码媒体系。毕业后，他升学于南洋艺术学院的媒体设计硕士课程。

身为正统训练的设计师，家杰对多种行业的认知之所以雄厚，全归功于他在新加坡旅游局，淡马锡理工学院与在成立室内设计机构的经验。

家杰现今一边在印刷行业里继续吸取经验，一边绘制出他的原创人物。Wyrrd Rune的＜五福神＞就是他较近期来较突出的作品。因对商标设计略有研究，Wyrrd Rune的商标设计也是他的得意佳作。

家杰现在也就任为新加坡漫画协会行销经理。

Lionel graduated from Nanyang Polytechnic, Digital Media Design and furthered his studies on NAFA’s BA(Hons) Multimedia Design.

Designer by training, Lionel is an all-rounder who has vast and solid knowledge of multiple industries, having worked at Singapore Tourism Board, Temasek Polytechnic and established names in the interior design industry.

Lionel is currently honing his skills in the print industry, while also creating his own illustrations on the side – Wyrrd Rune’s “5 Mascots of Happiness” is one of his more prominent mascot creations, along with Wyrrd Rune’s logo as he is also well-versed in logo design.

Lionel is also currently the Marketing Manager of Comics Society (Singapore).

Ziru graduated from Temasek Polytechnic, Interactive Media Design, who then furthered her studies on NAFA’s BA(Hons) Multimedia Design. A designer (and sugar-high cake lover) by heart, she was very inspired by her Mentor – Mdm Tia Boon Sim (Founder of Urban Sketchers Singapore and Artist-In-Residence at Temasek Polytechnic), which is why she likes to interact with students and is always insatiably curious when polishing her creative edge, as well as expanding her knowledge horizons.

Having worked at established institutions and agencies like Temasek Polytechnic and MyRepublic, Ziru is currently running Wyrrd Rune – her very own handcrafted jewelry studio where her well-known to be delicately crafted and quirky one-of-a-kind jewelry designs had won the hearts of many fans over the past 10 years.

Ziru is also currently the Communications Manager of Comics Society (Singapore).

森林木，原名陈运来。

于1984年连同两位漫画爱好者全职投入漫画创作，除了供应漫画稿予[生活电视]杂志和][青苗周刊]外，也曾经自资出版三本漫画单行本；[鬼差]，[破咒]和[超能]。其后，于1992年投身轮胎工业，担任了三年的中英对照轮胎杂志编辑经理和试驾记者。

1995年参与一家工程集团成为上市智囊团成员之一，为其公司进行证卷行上市程序，1997年成功在吉隆坡证卷行综指第二版配股上市，融资马币六亿令吉。上市计划完成后，1997年恢复自由身，再度投身漫画插图界，为美国，香港，新加坡和马来西亚教育课本绘制插图。

2013年获得马来西亚中文漫画协会颁发漫画贡献奖，并与2015年获选担任漫画协会会长。

2015 年，协助槟城青年发展机构提呈建设亚洲漫画文化馆建议书并协力撰写馆内亚洲各国漫画简史，参与漫画官馆展览品摆设过程，终于2016年前5月完满成立，隆重揭幕开放予民众。

2018年，绘制出版马来西亚伟人卡巴星的漫画传。连续2018和2019两年获得台湾文化局和台创中心委任为其联办台湾文博会的驻马顾问，并推荐四位马来西亚新进漫画家出席参展。

杨惠瑄 – 梦行者漫画系列的原作者。 她也是新加坡首位女性全职专业漫画家。

中国首位旅日漫画家，江苏省如皋人。

十五岁时曾获江苏省「十大杰出青年」。

画风以清丽婉约、飘逸不俗著称， 早在1994年便在中国北京成立了胡蓉漫画工作室，助理8人。

1996年9月16日以作品《倩女幽魂》荣获东亚漫画高峰会“评委会特别奖”， 开创大陆漫画家夺取国际奖项的先河， 一度被认定為中国传统连环画技法漫画化的继承人和开拓者。

1998年11月作為首位获得漫画家文化活动签证资格的漫画家赴日本。

2000年起在日本的商业杂志中发表作品至今。 12年间投身日本漫画产业，了解了日本漫画生产流程、分工和商业操作。

2010年至2012年2年间，任北京电影学院特约讲师、与中国人民邮电出版 社漫画杂志《尚漫》的特约编辑长。曾在国内创立了华之漫、撑起了尚漫、 2本漫黑白漫画杂志、培养出众多漫画家人才。

2010年在成立漫画工作室，培养新一代年轻漫画家。

2015年成立日本无壁株式会社、为了创建无国界的漫画家王国、致力于 国际漫画文化交流，挖掘并培养新一代年轻漫画家。

2017年致力于原创IP孵化与培养新人作者出道，大范围开展原创IP商务活动 。

黃展鳴是第一位迈向国际市场并改写了新加坡漫画历史的漫畫家。

他已制作超过 200 本漫畫集, 出版, 授权 , 翻译成十一种文字 – 中文简体, 中文繁体, 英 文, 法文, 德文, 西班牙文, 日文, 韩文, 越南文, 泰文及印尼文的漫画版本, 他也是唯一销售量 达数百万本的漫画家。

這在新加坡漫畫史上是史無前列的奇迹。

在 90 年代初，他先后受邀改篇著名华人科幻作家 倪匡大师及武侠小说家 金庸大师的著作 《衛斯理傳奇》和《神雕俠侶》成为漫画。

1997 年, 展鳴在韓國首爾举行的亚洲漫画高锋会议(现为“国际漫画家大会”)，荣獲 “漫畫特別獎”。

1999 年, 他開始創作其漫畫生涯最重要的《天界無限》中英文版漫畫系列共 5 个系列， 170 本。

2015 年，他主办长达一个月的<<新加坡原创漫画节>>以推广原创漫画文化。

2016 年,  展鳴在新加坡书展荣获了由 ACAS 颁发的 — 对新加坡漫画业的杰出贡献 – 卓越创意奖。

2018年，他开始创作最新漫画<<NEO ERA–TCZ 爱的纪传体>>。

2019年，他策划<<新加坡国际原创漫画大赛>>以鼓励年轻一代重视原创文化并发挥创意。

展鳴是 TCZ 出版社社长, 新加坡漫画社会会长, 也是“国际漫画家大会”新加坡代表。

Founder of No Wall Co. Ltd (ノーウォール株式会社), Comic Artist

Hu Rong is the first China artist based in Japan and hails from Jiangsu Province, Rugao County.

At the tender age of 15, she was awarded the prestigious “10 Most Outstanding Youths in Jiangsu Province”.

Her art style is well-known to be versatile, expressed in ethereal and vivid watercolours with a tinge of Japanese influence.

As early as 1994, she founded “Hu Rong Comic Studio” in Beijing, with a total of 8 assistants. Then on 16th September 1996, she was awarded “Judges Choice” at the “East Asia Comic Summit” for her work – “A Chinese Ghost Story”, a historical moment as the first China artist to have made her name on the international stage. As such, she was recognized as the pioneer and successor of modernizing traditional Chinese comics style.

In November 1998, she was the first to visit Japan with a mangaka cultural visa status and from 2000 onwards, her works were continuously published in Japanese commercial magazines till now.

For 12 years, she dedicated herself to the studies of the Japan manga industry, seeking for an indepth understanding of the manga production process, work distribution and commercial ropes.

In the course of 2 years (2010 – 2012), she was appointed as a lecturer from Beijing Film Academy as well as the head editor of Posts and Telecom Press’s “Super Comic”. She once created the cultural wave for Chinese comics, where it not only supported the development of “Super Comic”, but also two magazines focused on black and white comics. She also nurtured many outstanding comic artist talents in the process.

In 2010, she also founded a comic studio focused on developing new generations of comic artist talents for the industry.

In 2015, she founded “No Wall Co. Ltd”, whose manifesto works towards creating a comic artists utopia free of boundaries. As such, she is strongly supportive of international cultural exchange between like-minded comic artists and the discovery and training of new gen comic artists.

In 2017, she committed herself to the incubation of Original Comic IP and cultivating new artists to better prepare them for their debuts. She has since launched commercial activities for the movement of Original Comic IP as well.

Yeo Hui Xuan – Comic Artist of Dream Walker comic series. She is also Singapore’s first female full-time professional comic artist.

• Silver Award “ Story of Muca” for WE3 China – Wuhan 2nd International Digital Art Biennial 2012.
• Dream Walker obtained very good results in Singapore industry and recognition by fans. In addition, Dream Walker 2 series – “Dreamscape 5 Pillars” ( Chinese / English, 2 volumes ) was published, which also gained the support and sponsorship by National Arts Council ( NAC ).
• Her first debut works – Dream Walker Series ( Chinese / English, 6 volumes ) gained support and sponsorship of the Info-communications Media Development Authority of Singapore ( IMDA ) in 2009.
